Wow – despite all my complaining that the school year isn’t going by fast enough, I have to say, that four months have flown by so quickly. I can’t believe it’s only 32 days until I graduate college, which means that summer is right around the corner! Even though I am only walking because I have 1 or 2 summer classes to take, I am so thrilled that this chapter is turning – that I’m “THIS” close to being done with undergrad!!!

I’m just about as happy as Cobalt and are in this picture!

This picture was taken my last day of Fall semester afterwhich we celebrated by going out to eat and seeing The Hunger Games. The rest of the Christmas break was SO needed! I couldn’t be happier with how we spent it. While I worked hard the first two and a half weeks, the restaurant I worked at was closed the last week of December so I got to spend a lot of time with mine and Cobalt’s family.

Right before Christmas, I iced a lot of cookies!

While we had Christmas again this year with Cobalt’s family…

We didn’t get a tree this year or decorate but Cobalt’s family was very generous (as always) and shared theirs :)

Santa Cox is also very generous!!

I made cinnamon rolls for Christmas breakfast!!

…a few days later my family drove down from North Carolina to visit us during New Year’s. We had the most fun! The only sad thing is that we had to put my parents’ dog down New Year’s Eve morning but I was glad to see her for the last time. While my family was here we ate at the downtown Mojo Burrito (the original location), walked around Moccasin Bend and peeked off the Incline Railroad lookout (we didn’t want to pay for the ride) and later watched the ball drop together online at our house.

This is a panorama (click to enlarge) of the Incline Railroad lookout….it was freezing that day — we definitely did not dress for the occasion! (Cobalt’s sister is in the red and my dad in the black.)

  •  Cobalt and Joel have received a new client (no pictures allowed yet! ;))
  • And to follow up on my last post, I have decided not to do an internship yet. This is simply because I am burnt out from school and feel like I need some time to recharge and expand my horizons. So this summer I’m going to volunteer here and there to get my feet wet in the places I might want to work. Crabtree farms will be one of my jobs this summer, starting tomorrow actually! I’ll be working 5 hours a week for a fruit and vegetable box for hubbers and I. I am so excited!!
